Among the several urges I have, is the urge to write. I love my language. I love both the physical activity and the mental activity of writing. I have an opinion about everything and am greatly concerned about the way Australia and the world are heading. This blog consolidates a number of blogs and social networking sites I have managed. Given the above you’ll understand why blogging is one of my passions. Whether I do it well is for you to judge.
How better to spend one’s time than crafting words to express the rich harvest of topics life and the universe have to offer. Or to read the wisdom, thoughts and opinions of others, many with rich intellects or ways to express themselves that leave you wondering how they attained such wisdom.
Here you find articles about almost everything. Some highly contentious. Others opinionative or humorous, and a few didactic. I sincerely hope you find something of interest to you and that we become blogging pals.
If you are still there and need to know more about me, here it is. I’m an older Australian Caucasian male. I’ve decided to use a pseudonym on this site because not long after I launched it, it was obvious that there are people who bend over backwards to knock you down … and in some cases, knock off those who are antagonistic against Islam. Which I am.
I’m a humanist, secularist, atheist and have vowed never to vote again in an Australian election. Why? Because whoever you vote for you get a politician. They don’t do what you want, only what their party wants. Despite that, I am a great believer in the rule of law and democracy and forever grateful that we inherited the British system of both, which are the best, if not among the best, in the world.
Apart from reading and writing, I like cinema, digital photography, movies, music, dining with friends, and quaffing a nice red wine or glass of Kilkenny beer. I still have an eye for beautiful women, including my wife.
